Streets of London

 

Our adventure takes place in London, England early in the summer of 1908. Edward VII is king and the world is rushing into the twentieth century as modernity sweeps across Europe and America. Trains, horseless carriages, aircraft, and wireless radio are among the many inventions that have transformed the lives of all, and made some incredibly wealthy.

At this time London is the capital of the largest empire mankind has ever known.  The streets throng with the very rich and the incredibly poor. Travelers from all over the world are common in the port districts along the lower reaches of the River Thames.

London is the cultural and banking capital of the world. Great universities and libraries are located here.
